CREWS/SWFP – West and Central Africa- Training Workshop on Severe Weather and Impact-based Forecasting and Warning Services
Summary
The CREWS/SWFP - West and Central Africa Training Workshop on Severe Weather and Impact-based Forecasting and Warning Services will be hosted in Monrovia, Liberia during 8-12 May, 2023. The training workshop will be organized by RSMC Dakar in collaboration with WMO and the Liberia Meteorological Service.
The workshop will address capacity development needs of operational forecasters including public weather services (PWS) staff of the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) from Cabo Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone involved in WMO Severe Weather Forecasting Programme (SWFP) in West and Central Africa.
